"Coffee is good and we enjoyed the Omega Smash. The sweet potato fries were fresh and the right level of crispy. We also tried the classic oats but didn’t enjoy it, too much cinnamon."

"I love the atmosphere at Bootleggers. The staff is friendly and well trained. The food is excellent and well prepared. My husband had the Bootleggers Breakfast which he enjoyed very much, while I settled for the eggs hummus and Avo on toast. Their banana bread is to die for. This is a Covid 19 safe space as all protocols were followed. We were also placed with ample space between us and other patrons. I shall definitely visit again."

"I’ve dine here before a few weeks ago and today as well. The service is great and very very friendly. The food is fantastic- the breakfast bun and the flapjacks were just superb. Also the hot chocolate was ridiculously addictive and had a full chocolate taste. The waiters take good care to spring clean every corner from top to bottom and left to right."

"Never bothered to go into this restaurant because it always seemed to busy. However after trying it on sunday I'm extremely impressed by this coffee shop. The place might be busy but there was no absence of waiters and staff, the service was excellent and the recommendations even more so. The food as you can see ranges from poached eggs to lovely pancakes. This is the perfect place for brunch or breakfast. I have long since eaten at a place that impressed me this much, especially when it came to the quantity and quality of food. I will be returning on Sundays from now on to enjoy the coffee and pancakes."

"Shakshuka on Bread My visit to Bootlegger Coffee Company in Stellenbosch introduced me to Shakshuka on Bread - a creative take on a breakfast classic. The dish started strong with an appealing presentation and a rich, spicy aroma. Flavor-wise, the Shakshuka initially impressed with well-balanced spices and perfectly poached eggs. Over time, however, the acidity of the tomato sauce became somewhat overpowering, slightly diminishing the enjoyment. The friendly service and inviting ambiance still made for a positive experience. Despite some balance issues with the acidity, it remains an interesting and bold breakfast option."
